Get back something you deleted

Deleted galleries, photos, shoots, clients, invoices, contracts and bookings wait 14 days in the trash.

Deleting a gallery, photo, shoot, client, invoice, quote, contract or booking doesn't destroy it. It disappears from your dashboard — and a gallery or photo from your client's view — straight away, then waits in the trash for 14 days before it's removed for good.

Straight after deleting

The message that confirms a delete has an Undo button. Press it and everything is back as it was.

Later on

SettingsTrashOpen

The Trash tab lists everything deleted in the last 14 days, with how many days each has left. Press Restore and it comes back exactly as it was — an invoice keeps its number, a client is reattached to their shoots and invoices, and photos deleted together come back together.

Note

A restored booking goes back on your Google Calendar too. When it was deleted it came off straight away, rather than lingering for the 14 days.

Deleting a shoot

Before a shoot goes, the confirmation lists what goes with it: its calendar entries, contracts that haven't been signed, and invoices that haven't had any money paid against them. Anything with a payment on it stays, so your records of money received are never deleted along with a job. Galleries are never deleted with a shoot. One Undo puts all of it back.

Typing DELETE

For the deletes that take the most with them — a gallery, a client, a shoot, an invoice or quote, and anything deleted permanently from the trash — you're asked to type DELETE first. It's there so a stray tap on a phone can't do it. Capitals don't matter.

Deleting for good

Deleted galleries and photos keep their files until the trash is emptied, so they still count towards your storage. If you need the space now, Delete permanently in the trash removes them for good. That can't be undone.

A few things don't go to the trash

Questionnaires, notes on clients and shoots, and tags are deleted on the spot, with nothing to restore.
