See what's using space and free some up without deleting client work.
Storage counts the original files you've uploaded. Previews and watermarked copies are generated by us and don't count against your limit — a 40 MB raw export costs you 40 MB, not the four versions we make from it.
Freeing space, in the order worth trying
- Delete rejects still sitting in galleries. Culls that never got cleaned up are usually the biggest single win.
- Clear out test and duplicate galleries. Most accounts have two or three from early on.
- Archive genuinely finished work. Download the originals, keep your own backup, then delete the gallery here.
- Upgrade if your live workload honestly needs the space. Deleting work you still owe a client is a false economy.
Deleting a gallery or a photo removes the original permanently. Before you delete anything to save space, make sure you have your own copy — LumiHQ is a delivery platform, not your backup.
When you hit the limit
New uploads fail while you're over. Everything already delivered keeps working — galleries stay live, clients can still download and order prints. Nothing of yours is deleted for being over the limit.
Agree an archive window with clients in your contract — “galleries stay online for 12 months” — and you get a defensible reason to clear space, instead of hoarding every shoot forever.
