My uploads keep failing
Storage, file types, connection drops — what to check when photos won't go up.
1. Are you out of storage?
Uploads fail once you're at your limit. Check Settings → Plans & Billing — if you're near the top, that's your answer. See managing storage.
2. Is it the files?
- JPEG, PNG and WebP upload normally.
- RAW files aren't gallery files — export to JPEG first.
- HEIC from an iPhone can be inconsistent; export as JPEG if a batch refuses.
- Enormous single files can time out on a weak connection. If one file in a hundred fails, it's usually the biggest one.
3. Is it the connection?
Uploading a wedding over hotel wifi is asking a lot. Try a smaller batch — fifty at a time rather than eight hundred — and prefer a wired connection or a stable network for big deliveries. Uploads resume rather than restarting from zero, so retrying a failed batch doesn't re-send what already went up.
You can close the tab once uploads are transferring. Processing continues on our side, so a batch that looked incomplete when you left may well be finished when you come back.
