Add Lumi HQ to your phone's home screen

Open your dashboard from an icon like any other app, on an iPhone, iPad or Android phone.

Lumi HQ isn't in the App Store or Google Play — it doesn't need to be. Your phone can save the dashboard to your home screen as an app: it gets its own icon, opens straight into Today, and runs full screen without the browser's address bar. It updates itself, so there's nothing to keep current.

On an iPhone or iPad

  1. Open lumi-hq.com in Safari and sign in.
  2. Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow pointing up, at the bottom of the screen (top right on an iPad).
  3. Scroll down the list and tap Add to Home Screen. If you don't see it, tap Edit Actions at the bottom and add it.
  4. Leave Open as Web App switched on if your phone shows it, then tap Add. The Lumi HQ icon appears on your home screen.
Already saved a bookmark?

If you added Lumi HQ to your home screen before 20 September 2026, delete that icon and add it again. An iPhone reads the app's details once, when you add it — an old icon keeps opening in the browser instead of full screen.

On an Android phone

  1. Open lumi-hq.com in Chrome and sign in.
  2. Tap the ⋮ menu at the top right.
  3. Tap Install app (on some phones it reads Add to Home screen), then Install.

In Samsung Internet, tap the menu (☰) at the bottom, then Add page to → Home screen.

Getting around once it's installed

  • The bar along the bottom has Today, Calendar, Galleries and Inbox, with + in the middle for a new gallery, shoot, invoice or client.
  • Menu, at the top right, lists every section — Pipeline, Clients, Money, Paperwork, Store and Settings among them.
  • There's no browser back button in an installed app, so the dashboard has its own: on any screen inside a section — a shoot, an invoice, a client — ‹ Back sits just above the page title and names where it goes (“‹ Clients”).

You only sign in once. If you sign out, the app opens to the sign-in screen next time, just as the website would.

Notifications on your phone

Once the app is on your home screen, it can tell you the moment a new enquiry arrives, a client replies, an invoice is paid or a contract is signed: the same things the bell in your dashboard shows.

  1. Open Lumi HQ from its home screen icon. On an iPhone or iPad this matters: notifications only work in the home screen app, never in Safari itself, and need iOS 16.4 or later.
  2. Go to Settings → Notifications and switch on This device under On your phone.
  3. Tap Allow when your phone asks, then Send a test to see one arrive.
SettingsNotificationsOpen

Switch it on on each phone or computer you want notifications on. Underneath, you can turn off whole groups, such as gallery activity, without turning off the rest. If your phone says notifications are blocked, allow them for Lumi HQ in your phone's settings (on an iPhone, Settings → Notifications → Lumi HQ) and come back.

Your clients can do it too

Every gallery you deliver can be saved to a client's home screen the same way, with its own icon, opening straight to their photos. Send them save your gallery to your home screen — it's written for them, with steps for iPhone and Android.
