Your first week on Lumi HQ
The handful of things to set up first, in the order that pays off, and where each one lives.
When you first sign in, Today shows a setup checklist. Each step ticks itself off once it's done, so there's nothing to keep up to date by hand. This article is the same list with a little more on why each step matters. Most studios get through it in under half an hour.
Import first. Studio Ninja brings clients, jobs and invoices across. Pixieset, Pic-Time and SmugMug bring galleries. Nothing is emailed to your clients, and whatever an import brings across ticks its step off on its own. Rather we did it? We'll move you across.
1. Look like your studio
Your logo and brand colour go on every gallery, invoice, email and your enquiry form, so do this before anything a client will see. See set up your brand.
Choose whether email goes out from your own address (Gmail or SMTP) or from Lumi HQ on your behalf. See choose your email sender.
Connect Stripe so invoices, deposits and print sales are paid straight into your bank. See connect your Stripe account.
2. Win work
Add the shoots you offer, with a duration and a price. Your enquiry form's session-type dropdown and your booking page both read from this list.
Copy the embed code onto your website, or share the link from your Instagram bio. Every enquiry lands on Pipeline → Leads. See from enquiry to booked job.
3. Deliver
Upload a recent shoot and send it to yourself first, so you see exactly what a client sees. See deliver your first gallery.
4. Take it with you
Add Lumi HQ to your phone's home screen and it opens like an app, straight to Today. See add Lumi HQ to your phone.
